Teater Artistik was established in November 1986 at Pasir Panjang Community Centre by a group of theatre enthusiasts. Since then, it has performed many small scale and large scale productions to numerous play in Malay and English. Beside our own productions, we were also involved in Fortnight Theatre, Singapore Festival of the Arts and many more. As a Malay theatre group which entrusts itself into bilingual theatre, Teater Artistik has always been working towards a new and fresh directions and interpretations of play to suit the taste of modern Singaporean.

As a non-profit theatre organisation in 16 years ago, Teater Artistik become one of the three prominent Malay theatre groups in Singapore. In January 2002, with a vision to instill professionalism in our management team, we solicited the help of experienced, motivated and qualified dedicated individuals as full-time staff. Our new management team, which now consists of graduates from both Singapore and Australia, had developed a strategic mission to expand Singapore's theatre to Southeast Asian region and the rest of the world in the near future.

Our Vision and Our Goals

To regard Teater Artistik as a socially responsible theatre group; via our pursuit to be the best and most sought after Malay theatre management group in Asia.
To maintain out responsibility of giving back to the community.
To encourage young adults to be active in participate in theatre, discovering thier full potential by embarking on new challenges through the arts.
To create awareness of social issues; encourage critical thinking and self reflections so as to discover who we are, where we stand and how can we make a difference.
To increase the collective impact of local theatre groups in Asia.
To organise and develope a writing talent in order to promote the staging of original Singapore plays.
To calloborate with other theatre groups local and abroad.
To invite established Artists/Practitioners both local and abroad.

BICARA on Tour!!
Yes! Bicara will make it first ever stage play in Jakarta.

Directed by Islani Ishak with casts Yusof Atan, Johari Saad, Roselaily Ramli, Farisyah Samsir, Anuar Hadi and Hany. Bicara preview will be stage at The Arts House on 14th and 15th of February 2008.
